On the 1st of October 1994, under the role of the European Authorised Representative (EAR), the Panasonic Testing Centre established the CE Documentation Control function to manage the registration and safekeeping of the CE documents and files for Panasonic factories.
Since the 1st of January 2021, this function has been extended to include the registration and storage of technical documentation related to UKCA marking for products intend for Great Britain, on behalf of Panasonic UK.
Both EU and UK legislation require that technical documentation of a product be available for at least 10 years after the end of the sales period and is able to be provided upon the request of authorities.
This documentation shall include the manufacturers Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Technical Construction File (TCF), including the relevant conformity assessment documents, such as EMC test report, Safety test report, circuit diagram, photographs, operation manual and other files relevant to the product design.
The Panasonic Testing Centre supports both Panasonic national sales companies and Market Surveillance Authorities, by providing requested product documents.
